Human Adaptation

Walking around Glasgow observing different windows I was fascinated in the ways architecture was trying to capture as much light as possible into it. Coming from a Mediterranean country where there is an abundance of light and even sometimes trying to hide from it to avoid the heat that comes with it. Being captivated by that I kept noticing all the windows extended from the normal façade trying to get as much window area as
possible.

Designing for a claustrophobic person allowed me to experiment with how light can act as guid to someone as well as how light can make a space feel more open and larger that it is. Altering and tailoring an already existing space under these circumstances let me find my passion for light and how light can enrich a space no matter if it is a new or an existing building.
